MECHANICAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL FACULTY
Mechanical and Technological Faculty was established in 1962. The faculty trains specialists in the following specialties: «Applied Mechanics» (Specializations «Computerized and Robotic Technologies of Mechanical Engineering», «Equipment and Technologies of Foundry», «Equipment and Technologies for Plastic Formation of Structures of Mechanical Engineering and Special Technologies», «Mechatronics, Equipment and Processes of 3D printing», «Hydraulic Machines and Hydro-pneumatic Automation»), «Industrial Engineering» (specialization «Industrial Technologies of Machine Building», «Metal Cutting Machines and Systems»), «Computer Science and Information Technologies»; «Computer Engineering»; «Cyber Security». All specialties of the faculty are accredited for IV level and have a full-time and correspondence form of training. For the scientific specialty 05.03.01 «Processes of Mechanical Processing, Machine Tools and Tools» there is a Specialized Supervisory Committee for the presentation of PhD theses.
There are more than 600 students study at the faculty. The faculty consists of the following departments:
– Engineering technologies;
– Metal cutting machines and systems;
– Processing of metals by pressure and special technologies;
– Material science and foundry production;
– Cyber Security and Software.
The departments of the faculty have a modern material technical base and a highly qualified faculty teaching staff with new scientific and methodological developments, textbooks, manuals and computer equipment with modern programmatic equipment with machine tools with software control and robots. Training at the faculty ensures a combination of general engineering, technological and production training with a wide use of computer technology in the design of various machines and products, engineering, economic and other calculations, with the study of the most common software products.
Students of the faculty repeatedly hold prize-winning places at the All-Ukrainian Olympiads on professional courses.
